Directors Mark David Johnson and Connor Martin enlisted //kneeon to create animated sequences and all title cards for their feature length documentary, Sentenced. Sentenced is an immersive and vulnerable exploration of the epidemic of childhood illiteracy through a series of braided character driven stories. Each story is filmed from the point of view of a different person who never learned how to read. The film was produced in conjunction with Steph Curry and Unanimous content and premiered in September 2024 on Peacock.
//kneeon helped tell this story through the use of 2D animated sequences and graphic title cards showcasing some sobering facts about the epidemic of illiteracy in America.
